Famous downtown landmark to move

A famous downtown landmark is moving to a new home.

A spokesperson from AgFirst confirms the giant fire hydrant is being donated to the City of Columbia.

According to the Bill of Sale and Gift Agreement between the City and AgFirst, the City will move the the sculpture to another location in the city

South Carolina native Blue Sky created the sculpture. One of his most famous works Tunnel Vision, is a mural painted on the back of the AgFirst building. The sculpture called ” Busted Plug” has been on the AgFirst property since the early 2000′s.

The sculpture originally sprayed water as part of the display,

The spokesperson for AgFirst says the bank decided to donate the sculpture as a gift to the city in hopes that the artwork will be more visible to the community.
