Lake Katherine Real Estate
In the early 1900s Lake Katherine was a vacation spot with a few weekend cottages on dirt roads scattered along the banks. By the 1950s the City of Columbia had expanded to the largest in-town lake and brick ranch homes were being built by the hundreds. The Lake Katherine neighborhood is defined by Beltline Boulevard (the old trolley line), Forest Drive, Trenholm Road, I-77 and Fort Jackson Boulevard. Today the Lake Katherine area is desirable neighborhood inside the Columbia city limits.
